Honestly, I watched this because of the bromance between Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. But in reality, the said bromance was lacking in the drama.

[J Movie] Tampopo

Tampopo is a movie which has food as its central theme. This movie will definitely make you hungry when you watched it. The main story is about Tampopo, an owner of a struggling ramen shop. She met four men who helped her in reviving her ramen shop. Tampopo’s hard work and determination is displayed throughout the film as she was able to cope with several struggles and challenges. From time to time, there would be some scenes that would be shown that are unrelated with the main story. Nevertheless, these scenes are fit and are appropriate in the movie since they are all related with food, which goes back to the central theme of the movie.

Forget the storyline – because you can read them anywhere. Let’s proceed with the critics.

I have nothing to complain over this drama. It was simple and short, but the message was clear. I didn’t feel it was draggy at all; there was no dull moment. Every time they tried to make some joke, they made the bird/chicken(?) sound and the story proceeded just like that. The timeline also moved back and forth from 1997 to 2012. Sitting together on a table and reminiscing about their past; then it just flashed back to the past. After some time, it goes back to the present. I think this was a better way of retelling the story rather than

Highly anticipated this drama because of the lovely pair – Kim Tae Hee and Song Seung Heon. Far different from their usual roles. Apart from the two main lead characters, particularly the storyline — think twice.
